Testing, testing: one two three
So, I'm actually rather surprised that I've never started a blog before. I guess I never felt I was witty enough or some-such depreciating nonsense. The truth is I've had plenty of practice so surely I wont completely fail. Of course, the majority of that writing has never found its way to an actual audience. I'm referring to my prodigious amounts of journals lining the bookshelves at home. I'm an avid journal-er. Ever since 8th grade when I really committed (ignoring my flitting attempts earlier when I could never hold with it for longer than 3 days), I've never found reason to turn back. Sure, it leaves me alone in the corner at a sleepover when I'm trying to record the days events, and sure I sometimes come home completely exhausted and stay up another 30 minutes simply to fill up a rather mediocre report of a truly exciting day. But owning a collection of my entire high school years and the personality and preference shifts I went through is rather calming. It gives me hope when I worry about the future and gives me strength when I'm feeling particular vulnerable. But probably best of all, I don't have to worry about an audience who might get annoyed with my inane ramblings. Which might be how you feel about me right now. So I suppose this will have to serve as my introduction into the world of blogging!
